When we turned leftover canvas into rugged bags, they quickly became the heart of our business. Today, Sandstorm is a globally recognized symbol of Kenyan craftsmanship and purpose-driven design.
Every Sandstorm piece is handmade in small batches by our team of over 120 skilled artisans - each one contributing unique talents from beading to machine sewing. We proudly include members of the deaf community in our team, reinforcing our belief that everyone deserves the chance to create, contribute, and thrive.
We don’t just make bags - we create opportunities. Through our social impact arm, The Opportunity Factory, we train women in traditional crafts and help artisans connect to markets in fairer, more transparent ways. Every bag tells a story of heritage, community, and conscience.
